With the approval from Guangdong Institute of Intelligence Science and Technology President’s Office Meeting, Post-Doctor & Graduate-Student Association was formally founded in 26th June, 2022, for building a platform for cooperation and communication and enhancing exchanges of personnel among post-doctors, graduates and experts. The main purposes of the association are to strengthen communications among peers in academic knowledge, career development and life, promote the interactions and cooperation between the post-doctors and the community, accelerate the transformation of scientific achievements and become an important force in scientific research and innovation.

The association consists of Academic Department, Sports and Recreation Department, Financial Management Department and Public Relations and Publicity Department, specified as following:

The Academic Department is responsible for holding various academic activities, such as internal and external academic seminars, lectures, academic forums, etc., to provide professional knowledge. Also, it will organize regular meetings for learning experience exchange within the association, for strengthening the communications and understandings among different research groups and encouraging interdisciplinary exchanges and cooperation.

The Sports and Recreation Department is responsible for organizing different types of activities, such as ball games, inner-city excursions, hiking, climbing, barbecue and so on. Also, it could build relationship with relevant companies , institutes and universities, with the aim to expand the communication platform and enrich spiritual life. Moreover, it will assists in solving problems encountered by the post-doctors and graduates in their work and life.

The Financial Management Department is responsible for the financial management of the association, preparing the financial accounts, assisting the president to manage the expenditure and review of the expenses, and purchasing all the things required for holding the activities. According to the financial regulations of GDIIST and the government, it needs to improve the management of the funds, formulate annual and quarterly budget for the use of funds and settlement, and regularly make the financial reports.

The Liaison and Publicity Department is responsible for contacting external organizations, such as government, enterprises, universities and associations, conducting marketing promotions and building public relations, seeking sponsorship from third parties or suppliers with good cooperation basis. Also, it needs to actively promote the association for expanding its popularity and influence.
